Corrections
We try to get every figure, date and name right, and every claim in an article links to the public record it comes from. When we get something wrong, we fix it in the open.
How to report an error
Email hello@casesonrecord.com with:
- the address (URL) of the article,
- the sentence or figure you believe is wrong, and
- a link to the public record that shows the correct information, if you have one.
Please do not send personal or confidential documents. We only work from public records.
What happens next
- We check the claim against the original source.
- If the article is wrong, we correct it, add an Updated date at the top of the article, and list the change on this page.
- If a correction changes the main point of an article, we say so at the top of the article.
We do not quietly edit published facts. Changes to spelling or formatting that do not change meaning are not listed.
Removal requests
We do not name private individuals. If you believe an article identifies you or contains personal information, email the address above and we will review it promptly.
